The platform allows businesses to keep potential customers on their site or app, and manage all interaction including payment, voice call, or correspondence in one place.
It is not easy to catch the attention of potential customers, and many of us, before we even hear or understand what it is, tell the sales representative that we are not interested. The problem is that even when you catch the “prey,” it is very difficult to keep it, and prevent it from stopping the deal in the middle. The Israeli start-up Overtok thinks it can help with a product that promises to increase the level of customer involvement and make the transaction process as simple and purposeful as possible.
Keep users attention
Overtok develops a multi-channel communication platform for small and medium businesses that enables those to communicate with customers in a voice mail, chat and / or video call. In most cases, users who communicate with a business from any website, platform or application are automatically redirected to the phone dialer. As a result, two significant processes in terms of business are affected; The first is that the engagement with users who are ready for purchase or deal has been damaged, because their “journey” is interrupted in the middle; Second, the ability to collect data from those users stops as soon as they switch to the dialer.
Changing rules in communication
Overtok wants to change the way people interact with businesses in the digital world by turning user data and contact information into a unified and unique information that provides businesses with useful information. through the product, the user stays in the same digital asset (a website, an app, a Facebook page, landing pages, an advertising campaign) when his client’s experience before, during, and after the conversation becomes more visual and rich; It allows business to interact more easily with the customer, while offering personalized suggestions and relevant content based on the data collected before and during the interaction. For example, businesses can complete essential functions such as payment, queue bookings, or file sharing in one place, without turning to external platforms.
Currently, the product is in its final stages and is now being implemented by first customers. The main target market is media organizations specializing in local marketing of small and medium businesses, including search engines, maps and information centers. “What concerns us is not the media, but how we know how to make the details and data acquired valuable information for the business and the customer,” says Guy Naor, a co-founder.
The company was founded in 2017 by entrepreneurs Barak Geller, former CEO of Call Tracking and Guy Naor, founder of the Rest Mishlohim platform, which was acquired by Zap Group.
Today, Overtok employs 8 employees in Tel Aviv, and has so far raised NIS 1.5 million from private investors, including Nadav Sharon, founder of Eat24, which was acquired by Yelp. Their business model varies according to the type and needs of the customer, and consists of a fixed monthly payment adjusted by traffic, and the use of capacity and collection on the accumulated data and its use.
